In a surprising partnership that breaks conventional expectations, the game developer has revealed an in-game crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, providing no-cost bonus story content for Shadows players.

Peculiar Adventure Revealed

According to the formal statement, "A strange meeting draws characters Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh adventure, where rumors of banned rituals and monstrous transformations echo through the darkness." The narrative presents a "unusually garbed woman named Ada" who charges the characters with journeying into the Gemstone Grotto—a important location from Attack on Titan—to save her ally from a hidden sect.

The adventure focuses on "bizarre trials and a terrifying adversary" and is accessible to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.

Familiar Settings and Changes

The trailer showcases the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was formerly where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through ages. The teaser finishes with a striking sequence showing a character, presumably the hostage, changing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.

Special Items and Bonus Content

Players who finish the mission will acquire an unique katana together with several items concealed throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also contains in-store Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
